The Interpreter: Author Interview With Lawrence Fisher

Shah Sight
Lawrence Fisher, Welcome to our author interview, we are thrilled to have you on our literary site today, you seem to be such a sincere person, do you think that would play a big role in your writing and make it more likeable and a brilliant read to your readers, how do you write Lawrence, how do you prefer to write, and tell us what are your books about, do you love to write action novels or fantasy, what, let us know about yourself and about your books, name them please, if you can, and give us the links where we can buy them?

Lawrence Fisher So many questions for one little guy. Oh, where to start? Where to start? "Start at the very beginning. A very good place to start."

Friends, authors, countrymen. Lend me your eyes. Seems familiar to me. Maybe someone wrote something similar?

Lawrence Fisher Thank you very much Shah for hosting me. My book is called "Kill Me Now!"

Lawrence Fisher Anyone reading that would think, what the heck is the book about?

Kill Me Now! The bookkillmenow.org
Kill me now! is a book describing the hilarious exploits of a man who is dating to find his soulmate and has no idea of what he is doing. Will he find her?

Lawrence Fisher Well, my book has a subtitle:

"A Middle Aged Man's Maneuvers through the Frontline of the Dating Battlefield"

That about sums it up. My book is a diary of amusing events that happened to me while trying to find a partner, a soulmate.

Most of us have had weird dates; horrific dates; boring dates and so have I. I simply managed to find the humor in the stories. Why be upset when you can enjoy the experience?

Lawrence Fisher My book is not an action novel, fantasy novel or even a romance novel. Not even a work of fiction. I wish it were fiction, but I was there in the midst of it. Unless the women I was dating were a figment of my deranged imagination and I am actually lying in status and the Matrix is bombarding me with images gone wrong.

But alas, I have the blue pill of reality and I was there! Yet somehow I find the humor in it all; and believe me there is a lot of humor in the situations. Even the great Ashley Fontainne laughed at my escapades.

Lawrence Fisher I portray myself as a late forties single guy who goes looking for love "in oh so many different places" when I have no idea what I am doing or understand the signals being sent out.

You can read an excerpt from my book at:

No date again, woe is me! How many of us have sat at home wondering why we don’t have a date? How many of us have gone to a bar to look for a girl, found someone interesting and just froze? What should we say to her? What is a good pick up line? Questions, questions, questions! Help!

Lawrence Fisher How did I come up with the name? The book was originally called "World of Dating" and then I changed it to "Weird date stories" but neither suited me.

I then went on a date described in the book: Ms Motor Mouth and while sitting in front of her and wishing that Scotty would beam me up, I was thinking "Oh G-d, take me now!" The title was born.

Lawrence Fisher My book is available from Amazon both as a Paperback and Kindle:

Kill Me Now! is about Lawrence, a man in his late 40s dodging bullets deep in the dating battlefield while searching for THE ONE. In Kill Me Now! Lawrence tries to decode the signals of his enigmatic opponent, often resulting in his hasty retreat. Why is she resting her head on her hand? I...

Lawrence Fisher I am currently working on the sequel and I am already looking for a publisher

Lawrence Fisher I believe that my sincerity and honesty comes out in the book. I do not pretend to be someone that I am not. It was a lot of fun to write this book.

I have met some great people as a result.
